Favorite Movies

This time we decided we would list our favorite movies, my definition for favorite is one that I will watch over and over again, one that, if I am channel surfing and spot it, I will stop and watch it again. These are in no order at all they are all equally enjoyed.

African Queen with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn going down a river in an African Jungle.

Singin' in the Rain Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor, I like most musicals and this one is one of the best. The 'Moses Supposes' dance set is remarkable.

Galaxy Quest absolutely hysterical "You have a last name Guy!" "Do I?! Do I?!"... and Alan Rickman's in it!

Love Actually (also has Alan Rickman in it) and loads more, like Colin Firth, Liam Neeson and Hugh Grant. Quirky and funny and sad and silly, totally unbelievable but I like it.

Hatari Africa again, hunting big game for zoos. I chose this one of John Wayne's movies as the most fun, but I find that if I'm flipping channels and come across a John Wayne movie I'll probably stop and I'll probably have a good time. The other's I was thinking of for this spot were Hellfighters and Big Jake.

Kid Galahad I like Elvis and his movies but most are cookie cutter. This one and Follow That Dream are my favorites. I think his acting is very good in them and he is very sweet.

Rear Window I am a Hitchcock fan and could have picked among a lot of his movies but this one is especially well acted by James Stewart and Grace Kelly, and of course Thelma Ritter and an evil Raymond Burr.

Hound of the Baskervilles almost any version will do though Basil Rathbone's is classic. As a matter of fact almost any Sherlock Holmes movie will do.

James Bond OK here I am going to cheat. I just can't pick one! Sean Connery in Goldfinger? Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day? Daniel Craig in Casino Royale? Roger Moore? George Lazenby? Timothy Dalton? I can't choose I love them all, if there is a Bond movie on, I'll watch it.

Fred Astaire cheating again but it's too hard to choose. Funny Face? Easter Parade? Swing Time? I do especially like 'Pick Yourself Up' from Swing Time.

Well that's ten, sort of, and I didn't get to put Brendan Fraser's Mummy movies on there or any of the Charlie Chan's, oh well.
