wiki's
I have just finished step 16 in the Learning 2.0, this is the one about Wiki's. Wiki is a Hawaiian word meaning quick, and a wiki is a quick way for people to share information. Once you create your wiki anyone may add to it. This is good for sharing info but bad for controlling the info. I guess you can exert some control by making the wiki private, having people need a password to post and other things. If there was some way for multiple people to post to a blog it might be easier, but it looks like once you set your wiki up the way you want it, it can be used for a number of things. One library has a wiki for their summer reading program, which could work here for our staff summer reading, it could also be used for the staff bookchats. I will be exploring more and if MPO starts a tech wiki I will take notes.
